Celebrity Vidme thread

Upload your own Celebrity Gifs / Clips / Video to the "Vidme" host (with sound, up to 10 mins long) ...
Are you sick of having 15 second restrictions and no sound when you want to hear a Celebs voice or what they are saying/singing in Gifs and Gfycat?
... and you don't want to wade through a whole movie or video to find the best bits.

Why Vidme?
- Your upload to it can be up to 10 mins long and 256 Mb (1Gb with free account)
(although we suggest more like around 2 mins - as not to detract from other great contributions also)
- It also has sound available. So also if you just crop a single clip from a show or vid, you can play it with sound if you have that option in your softwares.
(Otherwise on Vidme, you can download the whole clip, hit the "scissors" icon under the clip, and you can use the sliders to make the start and end point and crop it)
If you have for example, lots of snippets of a movie or tv show in your Gif/Vid, you might not want to use sound because it will sound crazy, so...upload it without sound (most Gifs won't have sound anyway).
If you are an artist you can cut the snippets at the right moment so the sound makes sense for each bit.

How to Use Vidme:
- When your Gif/Vid is ready, just click the Red Upload Button (top right corner). It gives you Drag and Drop / from PC file / and Insert URL options to use.
- As I said you can also put in a URL or whole Vid and use the scissors icon to crop it to the time limit.
- If you want it only to be seen by those you give the Link to (like Phun), just "uncheck" the "Submit to Vidme" checkbox when it comes up.
- The benefits of a free account are that you can go up to 1Gb in size, you can set videos "not be downloaded" in settings so no one can steal your Vids,
along with cool stuff like uploading your favorite Background, creating your Vidme Page Name, creating albums and the list goes on.
- I found the best way to find the options is to just look for the 3 dots "●●●" drop-down menu (with an account also your Vidme head logo) both top right of screen.
- Have a look around on the site, best is to create an account with just username and password (email is only optional)

Rules (updated):
- Must be a Celebrity (no Porn or Unknowns) and Vidme Link
- Following Phun rules is utmost, and read the Vidme Rules (https://vid.me/rules)
- On the Vidme title (on Vidme) Mark anything nude or you wouldn't your Boss or Teacher to see "NSFW" in the Title (not needed on the Phun Title)
(Please use the default "Video Link" option on Vidme, when your clip has uploaded. Don't use the Direct link as it just shows it in Full Screen with no title and full page resolution.)
- On Phun, Please Submit Title (and short Description if possible) and then your Vidme thumbnail link in the Phun content box.
- Please use thumbnails (the Nimbus screenshot extension can help you with thumbnails. See "Tips" below)
- Self-made Vidme submissions only

- "Nimbus screenshot" - Very good way to make your thumbnails instantly.
On Chrome go to the 3 lines top right, then More Tools, then Extensions. At the bottom click More Extensions and then type "Nimbus" in the search, and Download.
On Firefox go to the 3 lines top right, then Add-ons, then click Extensions on left, type "Nimbus" in search, and Download.
With this extension (Chrome & Firefox) you can right click and select 'Capture fragment' and click your Vidme thumbnail, then save.
Then simply put it on ShareNXS etc. From there you just put your Vidme link into the first part of the ShareNXS BB code. Takes me 20 seconds total to make the thumb.

- "Imagus" - Preview Thumbnails and URLs just by hovering over them with your cursor.
Great to use on Vidme and here at Phun, also previewing pic thumbs on the Phun Picture Forums. You can set its preview size box and all sorts in its settings.

- "Free WebM Video converter" - Just search this on Google and download to shrink your Gif/Vid file size down massively, before you upload them.
I use this on all my Gifs and Vids. You can choose its settings and create Presets. I have a preset for sound and one for without sound.
They have presets already but you can tweak them and rename, can tick/untick the sound check box, in settings etc.
Greatly reduces load time which is important for large files. You don't want yourself or people waiting for loading too long.
