  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I've only used imageVenue, other than Bam and Box which is where 99% of my pics are sitting... Just started a fresh Venue account, will test the other approved hosts until/if more are added.

    If you take suggestions for new approved image hosts, i think https://pixhost.to/ is a good option, fast and stable, i've been using it after stooorage.com died, but i follow few big blogs, which are been using it for many years now. take a look :)

    It'd be a good idea to post a big message so everyone can see saying not to use the soon to be closed image hosts. I just found out about these bad news from another place by luck. People should be aware when they use phun so we don't lose new content.

    Do we have image hosts that do thumbnails and upload more than 1 image at a time ?

    As of last Thursday neither imagebam or imgbox allow uploads. Already uploaded content is accessible, but just a message about the 6/30 shutdown on the upload page. Also, the shutdown is in the notices at the top of each forum page.

    We all thought this, but yes it is for real. They were going to be gone 4 days ago and instead of leaving are upgrading their servers/capacity. :)

    I've noticed that pictures hosted on imgmax are scaled down from their original size. For those using imgmax is there any way around this or is that just their rule? Sharenxs did the same thing by the way.
