So this reads like a direct nuke to the deepfakes sub, but I certainly don't know everything happening everywhere. Did the sub get inundated with underage 'starlet' deepfakes in the days since I looked (somewhere shortly after its first mention here) or are they just dishonestly claiming to be protecting against CP to bolster their argument about banning stuff? I mean, I totally get why they'd rather not have deepfakes be a thing on a site like reddit. I don't get why they'd feel the need to pile on a bunch of other dishonest bullshit to garner support of it. What, if anything else, happened to cause this?

Naah, the Reddit admins are just being their usual spastic selves. Nothing matters there any more other than the bottom line.

 

Sooooooooo......where did everybody from there set up shop after they were nuked? Certainly they had a contingency plan.

 

Is there a tracker of subs getting banned or anything somewhere? I saw the "Update on site-wide rules regarding involuntary pornography and the sexualization of minors" thread and read the admins followups but none explained the CP angle at the time. I struggle to believe their rules regarding child porn still needed clarification after this many years. Who else was banned as a result of this change (not as a result of the sub-tattling that happened after the fact)?

 

By the way, "/r/celebfakes" is also gone. At the time I saw that, "/r/emmawatsonfakes" (or whatever it's called) was still there, but I wouldn't bet on it -- or any other "fakes" subreddit -- lasting long.

 

Not surprising considering how quickly they banned the fappening subreddits

 

And yet, they don't ban blatant hate subs like The_Donald or others that are calling for Obama and the Clintons - among others - to be hanged for treason, and gearing up for a revolution/civil war against anyone who doesn't worhip Trump as a god (they literally claim God put him there as President to heal the world from sin).

 

The thing with r/celebfakes was that there was so much fakes of underaged celebs lately and the subreddit mods did nothing against it. There was a fake of Chloe Moretz where she was 13, I reported it, post the source pic with the date and they still did nothing. So I'm glad that this shit is gone.

 

Personally I feel that the doppelbangher subreddit being banned is really a step too far.

Just a subreddit for pornstars that look like celebrities.

 

Like I predicted in the second page the SJW cancers that control reddit got it banned. They and their pathetic excuses are so predictable by now.

 

They've migrated to voat for now.

I like how those in society who are the biggest problems in society (racists, sexists, etc) are the ones to blame "SJWs", and out themselves by doing so.

you understand what those initials mean, right? People like the Suffragettes, who campaigned 100 years ago so that women and the poor had the right to vote in elections. Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, who did so much for black rights in America. Abraham Lincoln, killing off the slave trade in the US. Harvey Milk, who was assassinated for campaigning for homosexuals and bisexuals to be treated fairly, instead of like animals.

All of them were "social justice warriors". Are they bad, or should you reevaluate your shitty opinion to not go for the same tired old cliche of blaming those trying to work for the betterment of humanity, rather than the scumbags who try to block them from doing so?
