    This made me curious but IMDB trivia for the movie says that Neve's contract for Party of Five forbid her from showing any real nudity, which is at least believable since it was such a family show.

    The fact she showed up at the premiere in something daring and see-through just means she wasn't prudish herself or not confident in her body. But even if there was nothing in her TV contract preventing her, wearing a see-through outfit and walking down a red carpet is quite a different context to having your naked boobs recorded in a sex scene, with a script and director telling you what to do. I can totally understand a person being comfortable with one but not the other. People seem to think that if someone was okay with nudity once, they should be equally okay with it in any context, as if choosing to do something once means it's unreasonable to ever say no to that in the future.
