I've said this before, but we see so much of this here that I think there is some Hollywood agency/service, or at least a PR strategy, who supplies these very young actresses with classic and iconic rock t-shirts, featuring bands who broke up/died before the actresses were even born. Must add a degree of cultural wisdom, sophistication, or something, to their crafted public personae.

Not complaining, just an observation. In any case, I wish Elle and Dakota were here.

 

They could have gotten some musical awareness from mommy and daddy, like a lot of kids do. They're (mom and dad) the right age; and Mom has a sort of 'once upon a time, I was a Dead Head', vibe.
What would raise my eyebrows would be a Monk, Miles or Jackie Wilson t-shirt.

 

^^^Jones and SB, I make the (admittedly informal) observation because among the young celebs we see on this site, I seem to see many more with 60s-70s-80s band clothing than with any current musical artists.

Who knows, maybe they think they will be dorks if they wear a current band/artist, like wearing a band's t-shirt to a concert by that same band .

 

Maybe they know that if they buy a shirt from a current band, that band will be gone next month and no one will give a shit about them and they'll be stuck with an expensive car wash rag.
