  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    For several months, approx 50% of mouse clicks of links on this site (to go to any forum, subforum, or thread - but not to image hosts) result in a white page with the message:

    Secure Connection Failed

    - The connection to forum.phun.org was interrupted while the page was loading.

    - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

    - Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

    with a blue button "Try again."

    Of dozens of internet sites I visit, phun.org is the only one which gives me this message. Has nothing to do with clicking before a page had fully loaded. In the past month, the rate has increased to about 2/3rds of all phun links clicked. One click of "Try again" button usually takes me to desired page, but increasingly I have to click it up to three times to go to the desired page.

    What is the problem here? Thanks.

    I also use Firefox. I had already turned off my ad-block, which fixed the no reply/text box problem described in the red alert notice at top.

    Other problems: when I do post a reply, I sometimes have to hit the "post reply" button several times. Also, sometimes when I attempt to use smilies, the set of smilies won't show up, even though the smilie tab appears. Finally, if I want to edit my reply, sometimes clicking the edit button will not bring up the edit box at all. Sigh...

    Hmm thanks for pointing it out. I do too, receive a blank page sometimes, but only for a second or less afterwards the site loads normal. Can you post a screenshot of the window if it occurs again? We def. have to figure out what this might be causing.

    I wasn't aware of this thread until now. Which was my fault for not checking this forum on the regular. Sorry!

    We're still working on this issue. It's not easy to replicate therefore it's not easy to look for the problem. It might be related to the fact that we don't enforce https connections to image hosters - we had this enabled in the past, but it was causing major issues.
