Apparently she played a key role in providing evidence that got the cult leader 12o years though! Still seems a large reduction in sentence since she had a direct role in the abusive behaviour

3 years, what a goddamn joke, and she'll probably be out in half that time for 'good behavior'. She was branding these people, she was gleefully participating in the, let's call it what it was, torture of women in this cult and she gets this pathetic sentence. Hate to say it, but if she was a guy she would have gotten a lot harsher sentence.

Prosecutors wanted the entire sentence commuted because she helped them get the cult leader, and of course Mack had also been brainwashed to participate by him.

 

Its a federal sentence so without the president getting involved she will have to serve 85% of her sentence before any chance of being released.

Also maybe a few days earlier to account for the time between her arrest and release on bail.

bullshit. she was lovers with one of the women bigwigs involved and happily joined in, getting to be the head bitch dom. brain washed my ass. go read the wiki and the witness statements, from the time kreuk recruited her she was an enthusuastic participant and by the end was considered 2nd in charge. Consider before you argue it, Ranier's wasnt the only initial cauterize penned into those girls/women. She was right there.

Of course she was also brainwashed. That doesn't mean she isn't responsible for what she did. One of the other girls, the girl who played Callie on BSG, still seems a bit brainwashed. Go check out her Twitter feed and you'll see.

 

like any cult member is its usually all about brainwashing. It is just the question if they can be brought back from the darkness and it looks like Mack did give a lot of info on the leader of the cult. this whole thing is such a mess hope she can come back and be redeemed from this. We still don't know the whole story on all this.. But she really messed up..

You're talking about responsibility like it only applies to her, "She was brainwashed but she still did it so she's guilty" What of all the other women who chose to willingly join, willingly be branded and willingly obey every command. Either they were all responsible for their actions or none of them were. Most of them didn't have a problem with it until they learned that the brand was actually his initials. If you were actually brainwashed and not a willing member of a secret sorority this would not turn you.
