Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    SM is pretty shitty. Someone else mentioned that their double weekend points for this month isn't helping the cause. Maybe things will slow down in SVF in a couple weeks. Hopefully the cream will rise to the top and we'll all be able to figure out the best host for the forum.

    I think it's pretty clear that Sharingmatrix/Filesonic isn't reliable enough of a filehost to be used here at Phun - there's been numerous complaints from free users and users that have recently signed up with the Sharingmatrix service at Phun. If you actually have to use a download manager to have Sharingmatrix links work HALF the time?!?

    PbKing, I just noticed that the poll results aren't public, that was a mistake, we should be able to see who the single moron who voted to keep SM is so that the jagoff can be ridiculed and made fun of forever. :razz:

    Seriously though, public poll results would ensure that cashwhores don't create a bunch of accounts and spam the poll.

    Up to 3 now but the results are pretty much a landslide.

    Even though the results aren't public, the fact that we have yet to see any reasonable replies supporting Sharingmatrix, that's pretty much a clear sign that even people who use it can't really fully support SM with good quality intent.

    as a normal downloader i don´t see any major "quality"-issues of SM compared to HF, RS (as a free downloader), MU and many more - actually as a uploader i like SM´s performance.

    isn´t this more an issue of "abuse" in general? wasn´t there "thread-whoring" for RS-points? don´t you think that people you complain about might switch to HF when SM is dismissed here and continue to post their stuff?
    (oh, and... certain differences in effort aside - what´s "quaity" content in general?)

    don´t get me wrong - i have no problems to re-visit a decision and change it when necessary, but wouldn´t it be better to find solutions to contain socalled "crap" by implementing certain "limits" and "obstacles", regardless what filehosts people are allowed to use here?

    Where's the choice for banning SharingMatrix and HotFile? They're equally terrible. The only people who say HotFile is better are those who have purchased a premium account and don't want it to go to waste, or those who upload to HotFile and want a monopoly on alternative file hosts.

    SharingMatrix should go. But only if HotFile goes with it.
