    Frenchtown are a multi-ethnic band from Los Angeles, an electro-dance throwback to '80s synthpop. Like Brazilian Girls blended with College and Electric Youth. Naturally, none of them are French.

    'Straight in a gay world' actually is an album title funnily enough, but it's now my band name, so coupled with that title I reckon they're a pop punk band with a political edge, a bit like NOFX or Anti-Flag. They're almost certainly on Fat Wreck Chords label.

    Given the picture I ended up getting, I deliberately went with a metal vibe on this one. They're a brutal, bruising, ferocious riff-laden metal act in the style of Pantera or Machine-Head.
