Nah. OnlyFans makes way more money from the low-level celebs who post nudes and near-nudes than from the people who make actual porn videos. They'll be fine. It's the people who post sex videos to make a living who are in trouble. Bella Thorne is going to be fine.

Ho's going to have to dust off their stripper heels. The change doesnt kick in until October and I think they will still allow Playboy style nudity. I expect chicks to ramp up the dirty since they only have 2 months to cash in.

I can't imagine how banning the content you're most known for is a good business plan

It would be nice if they clearly stated what entails "sexually-explicit conduct." I subbed to a couple of girls for awhile, they mostly did standard webmodel content but there was some masturbation, dildo play, JOI/dirty talk stuff as well. Is that going to all go away too? If a girl bends over and you see labia is that explicit? Can a girl take a picture with a dick in frame as long as it's not hard? This is fucking ridiculous on OF's part.

Banks not accepting your money isn't great for business either. Its basically an, "oh well I got super rich that was fun" move.

So they're getting rid of the masturbation and penetration stuff in favor of being able to use PayPal etc. and raise venture capital $$$. Many traditional payment processors won't touch sites like this, and have limits to what % of their portfolio are in the high-risk category, which full-on porn is.

It's the difference between making a *lot* of money, and a SHIT-ton of money.

Real question is: how much of their total revenue is based off of HC creators vs. Softcore, and which group is growing the fastest? Maybe they feel they make enough off their non-HC content to warrant this.

    Good luck

Didn't necessarily mean OF will go by the wayside, but a TON of chicks make money only because of their HC content. That gravy train has been derailed.

My understanding is nothing beyond hard R rated. Playboy level is as far as they'll be able to go.

This strikes me as the founders / owners cashing out

venture capital money or banks don’t want anything to do with porn. Of probably trying to get in the good graces of the owners for an ipo or something down the line so they can cash out sooner than later

Going to be interesting to see how this effects Porn stars as a lot of them completely rely on OF nowadays.

I guess JustFor.Fans will pick up most of the HC business. They have no delusions about what kind of site they are.

    :bang head:

They'll go the way of Tumblr, traffic and revenue will plummet but the founders cashed out so they don't care. Another site, or two or three or twenty, will be the beneficiaries of this dumb decision. Still a question as to what will and won't be allowed exactly.

Sex trafficking laws that basically close off all legitimate means of sex work and puts the power back in the hands of sex traffickers...it's as if sex traffickers are the ones who actually wrote that law and a bunch of dumbass anti-pornographer religious crusaders were too fucking dumb to take notice.

If nothing changes, 30 years from now, this is gonna be the sex industry equivalent of the US militarizing the Mexican border. Criminals will feast, and politicians will pretend like they aren't the ones who opened the door for them to profit.

Apparently it seems verified members can still continue to post content as usual even after October 1st. So most professional sex workers won't be affected by this change.
