  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I'm getting malware warnings from Imagebam, too. Right now, Avast antivirus is blocking some but not all picture links to Imagebam.

    And I'm using Firefox with Adblock Plus. Also I'm not visiting them directly, but attempting to download with Imagehost Grabber. When I click the blocked links to try and visit the site, I receive an error page in Firefox saying the server is not responding.

    Happened to me aswell. It caused my Avast to stop running the first time, got no threat detection but when I restarted and reloaded the image it came up but I believe it saved me even when it did crash. Don't know if it's just a FP or not (it is Avast after all...) and if it's still happening but I certainly won't be taking the risk, especially when it could cause my Avast to crash again.


    I also have Adblock Plus but still got the detection so having it doesn't mean your safe from the threat if it still exists. Not the first time i've been infected by Imagebam, been known to catch some pretty bad driveby viruses via Java when visiting Imagebam.
