    I love these type of Photos/Edits........ It was suggested to put them in the Celebrity Black and White thread..... I feel they belong in the Creative Backyard... Also, Although my favorite subject is Celebs, I didn't want to constrict it to Celebs only......Please add yours....

    Here's the way to do it (Thanks again Kaos):

    Add a new adjustment layer.... channel mixer....click OK.... click monochrome at the bottom....adjust the color levels to your liking...it automatically creates a layer mask..box next to the 3 little circles in that layer.... now you can use a paint brush to reveal or hide what you want....use a black brush to reveal what you want in color..... white brush to touch up mistakes or what you want to be black and white.....just one of several techniques......but fun and easy to play with...


    Here's a few of mine that I did when Kaos showed me how to do it back in the day at CNDB:

    That effect is done in many ways:

    Original and the copy, now you have two images in your layers palette.
    desaturate the copy, and mask out what you want to see through (the original colors)

    To make the gray look more interesting play around with IR im not so good to describe the process behind, but search it up.



    Some nice color-variations you got there
