  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Should this thread be moved out of creative backyard and in to the celeb section - they are animated pics, and there are similar collection threads allowed there. It is a shame so much effort is buried in what is one of the least visited child forums.

    Not disputing that for a second. Just seems that so much effort goes in to creating and uploading gifs by phun members and they are in a section that has on average less than 50 viewers when they could be in a section that averages 1,000.

    Creativity shouldnt be a hinderence, more of an incentive. That being said, the thread still has 2,000,000 + views.

    To contrast that though, the 'best celeb assess thread, which is younger and doesn't require the same effort to contribute, has 1,100,0000 views.

    A gif from Jennifer Aniston's new film has 17 thanks, while stills from the trailor of the same film has 150+ thanks.

    A while ago i asked why Scribe's Vegas thread wasn't in creative (he posted in general) and mods found it okay it was in general also because Scribe posted it there

    We prefer to keep the celeb forum itself just for pics and the celeb movie forum for vids, CB is the best place for GIFs. If there's overwhelming opinion from others that they feel it should be in the celeb forum, we can take a look at it.
