    When the weather permits - I love getting out to photograph some local Christmas light displays. Each year in Niagara we have the 'Festival of Lights' and it draws a large number of tourists to the Falls area.

    The wife and I drove down to Simcoe, Ont. earlier in the day to photograph the 'River of Lights' festival - over 150,000 lights in the city park.

    Hehe, thanks Magge.

    I have to give credit to my wife who tolerated the cold temps and kept me company without complaining while I did the photos. She's on meds that messes up her body temp and feels the cold twice as bad as most people.

    The lights are the one standout in this season I really get into. I could care less about the commercialism of it all, but the lights and how everyone gets creative with them is truly a special thing.

    My thoughts exactly. It's ridiculous that the corporate commercialism machine starts up the moment Halloween ends.

    If it weren't for the light displays, I'd vote to skip Christmas more often.
