Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Tonight the Forum simply became unavailable sometime after 11pm (BST) - gave up trying and took the dog out for his last constitutional of the day. Came back in and the Forum was still off the air, but after several tries, it suddenly came up, but was very ponderous and I got intermittent "500 Internal Server Error" messages. I've given up altogether now and I'm going to bed!

    I tend to believe it happens on specific hours as it happens always at the same time.
    For me is always after midnight.The time i posted before.

    it has been quite slow for the last week that I have been back. Before my hiatus it would be slow around noonish - 4 pm est. Lately it seems to be slowing down MUCH more often.

    It's virtually unusable right now - I've been getting used to it being persistently ponderous, but this is getting ridiculous! I agree with JayHoo, waiting for pages to load is like watching paint dry!

    i have no direct contact with our hoster.
    there´s an additional server running for about two weeks now.
    something tells me that adding new servers isn´t the only way to improve performance, though.
    probably a little more care for the database etc. won´t hurt.
