    as you can see in case of oron... a quick decision woud likely be just a short interim-solution with just another soon-to-be dead links. who knows what`s going to happen to the rest of hosters - lets say within this week.

    Main difficulty is that even for non-US based filehosts, they need to use US companies to process payments - PayPal etc. There's no real alternatives out there. So they can't get beyond the clutches of the FBI just because they locate their servers in the Netherlands or China or whatever. I think that is why most of them are just calling it quits rather than relocating to another country.

    Now it's seem a problem to choose another Filehost...
    For myself i used FileSonic for almost 3 years and before that Rapidshare (Premium Accounts).
    And also on the side Hotfile, Depositfiles & MegaUpload (Free Accounts).
    But now i don't know what to use anymore ...??

    Can go back to RS, still have lots of points there for a upgrade for RapidPro.
    Hotfile & Depositfiles... Got free-accounts, can upgrade also...
    But don't like the speed there... To Slow and maximum Size File's to low...

    So what to do NOW ...??? Perhaps Oron.com ...??? Or perhaps something else ..???

    Oron is not closed, they are only doing account review like other years. But even if they are not closed this is not the best choice for phun in my opinion.

    This is the right decision

    Rapidshare seems to be good for the moment. The only problem with them is that my upload speed is around 60Kbs so pretty impossible to use them for me.

    Hotfile is banning accounts and deleting all files after few DMCA notifications so I think that we will see lots of new dead links here at phun soon.

    Phun is more enjoyable without you and your babygang spamming the board all the day. Even if there is less posts to see.

    Why not use Netload? It also seems to be chugging right along, and is reliable, has been around.
    That and Rapidshare seem to be the only "old school" ones left.

    Filepost has banned most of uploaders without paying (Like me). Uploaded still working but i dont think phun would allow them because of usa ban thing.

    Wait until end of february before adding new host. The current host allowed is phun is enough for this short period
    There is still daily changes with everyhost currently, Depositfiles has just banned USA
