Stupid question people....

I'm tryin to get the pics from Imagevenue to here and I must be doing something wrong. Which choice do I use on IA...website, forum, message board? And when I attempt to cut and past the url from IA it goes in the attachment box, but wont do anything when I click upload?

Any help would be appreciated. I just got Photoshop 7 and I'm trying to be a good citizen here so if someone could take a couple minutes and guide me through that would be great.

see-pak: not a stupid question, it's just the way Photoshop works. You have to open a new image after you copy it to the clipboard, then it'll allow you to paste it in. You can also right-click the image from the browser and save it locally first, and open it up from there.


jtsuprman: yeah, both those pics of the two girls is what I mean - first one if just too dark, second the white bras are too thick and their brightness prevents me from getting any detail due to the reflected light.

 

Thanks c-thru---one more question? I am easily finding the "dodge" tool but not the "burn" tool. Where might that be?

 

Just hold down the 'Alt' key and it becomes the burn tool. I'd suggest using them sparingly though, as you can introduce things that aren't necessarily present if you're not careful.

 

Alright---I have my Photoshop and am trying, but I need to go back and re-read the tips and tutorials cause I havent had luck with any of these. Maybe the bathing suits just wont work? Anyways, I seem to just be rubbing out the image and not pulling anything through or just erasing layers. I will keep working on it. If a PRO could give these a shot I will at least know that its me. Thanks!

 

I didn't have any luck with those either. For a beginner, I wouldn't recommend using the burn & dodge technique, rather play around more with the brightness & contrast to see if you can even make anything out. Remember, not all pics can be done!

 

Thanks for trying. Im devastated. thought for sure the black suit seemed "sheer" enough and I was just doing something wrong. Oh well. Back the drawing board.

i still am having a very hard time doing it. There is a program that allows you to take video while you work on something and post it up in .fla format. You should do a video tutorial for people who suck at photoshop.
