Nice work. Was thinking of doing some 'enhanced versions' of some of these...


Anyone else have trouble snagging videos from YT recently? It seems they may've updated their delivery system - again. Download Helper and Net Video Hunter are non-responsive. What are you guys using?

I can get at least one size through the old version of Stream Transport, but those sometimes come in as .flv instead of .mp4, which makes taking HQ screens a pain, since KMPlayer craps out when making snapshots with FLV...

Any suggestions? Thx

 

I take most of mine directly from the .avi or .mpg and gif a segment of them. For HQ they are usually in .mkv format and I have to convert them to avi first, then gif them from a chosen segment. I have no idea how to take from YT or Web.

Mary Tamm (Time Lord Romana I from Doctor Who) | Full Frontal Nudity


For those of you who don't already know by now, talented British actress and stunning beauty Mary Tamm, who had a long career in television but was perhaps best known as Time Lord Romana (I) from the well-received Doctor Who miniseries The Key To Time, passed away this past July after a long battle with cancer at the ripe young age of 62.

The lovely Mary had many talents, perhaps chief among those being great comedic timing, which she used to good effect throughout her career.


As a reminder, and in mini-tribute, here's a couple shots of Mary from early in her career, and some of her in that white dress and tiara from the first episode of The Ribos Operation ( 1978 ) where she meets The Doctor (#4 - i.e. Tom Baker) for the very first time (@ 28 years old):




And thus...I've dug up this old clip of Mary, in her only full frontal nude scene (that I'm aware of) during her career, made between ~'73-'74 (don't have the exact title at my disposal - sorry folks), taken from an old BBC compilation clip on VHS Tape that was transferred digitally a few years back. (I have a couple side breast/butt shots of Mary from another clip somewhere, but nothing like this--!)

It's short, grainy and not very good quality, but it's the best we've got, and so I share it with you.

Mary-Louise Parker Swimming Naked in a Pool (S08E04 / Remastered)

Awhile back, I did some GIFs of MLP which were lightened/brightened frame-by-frame, and sometime after posting, noticed they had some pixel loss and banding in 'em, moreso than even regular GIFs should have, and traced the problem back to the software I was trying out at the time for making 'em. So, I switched back to ULEAD, and haven't had any problems since.

:arrow: However, I never re-posted the improved versions (until now) - so if you've got the old ones somewhere, ditch them, and replace with these instead.

I also sped up the frames a bit and condensed them down so it flows better - see below:

As an aside, avoid using 'Advanced GIF Animator' if you can for that reason; I also noticed that even venerable ULEAD did a slightly better job than Photoscape in terms of color gradation, especially with skin tones, in my testing. If you're using Photoshop for extraction and optimizing for the web, you shouldn't have any problems. :2cent:

Me too at times, and I have to clear cache and refresh 15 times.....I think I will add a second URL host link of my gifs, underneath my gifs (same as in movie threads) for the time being.

 

After so much community I thought they would be good, but they are amazing.

 

im using http://keepvid.com/ to get YT vids as mp4 it's great.

 

KMplayer plays almost every format on the planet ( you need KLite codecs, and you also have to tweak the settings in the player ) you can also darken, lighten, saturation etc, as well as set the frame capture mode to suit....
